Her other notable roles include on stage, particularly because of her starring role as Emmie Thibodeaux in the Broadway production of Caroline or Change (2004), for which the Tony Award Best Female Featured Actress in a Musical award was presented to her, as well as Beneatha Youther from the Broadway Remake of A Raisin in the Sun (2015) for which the Tony Award Best Female Featured performance in a play was awarded to her.

Pivarnick has been a reality television star in the United States since she joined the popular cast on the M.T.V. show Jersey Shore.
