Aurora
Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian singer and songwriter from Norway. She was born in Stavanger on June 15, 1996. Her professional name is Aurora. Her name could be also stylized in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, was released in May of 2015 by Decca Records to great approval of bloggers in the music industry and media. Half the World Away - by the Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole - are already two notable covers that the singer has created. The singer gained further attention through a tweet from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed her song Runaway. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memory is of finding a piano hidden in the attic of her home, then becoming enthralled by its sounds. Parents May-Britt and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for an occupation or pastime but to grow. She began writing her own songs. She cites renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan as influences as well as a love for Bjork's style. The singer decided to perform her songs publicly when her mother suggested that they can help other people, not gain acclaim for her work, but instead help those around them see their own importance and how they can affect the world. The piano was her first instrument, at six. She started making music at the age of nine. This was not known to her family members until she was fourteen. Aurora's fame was not the goal of her. The singer claims she is a fan of composing songs. The songs she creates are the way that she feels any thing.
